Fire damage to Glendale home estimated at $75,000

A fire that ripped through a home’s attic on Friday caused an estimated $75,000 in damage, officials said Monday.

No one was injured in the blaze Friday night after firefighters rescued a resident from the single-story home in the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue.

The blaze started about 10:58 p.m. and was extinguished within 19 minutes of firefighters arriving on scene.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
