Short pursuit ends in crash, neighborhood lockdown in South Glendale

Police are looking for a driver who allegedly fled from them during a traffic stop, then crashed and ran into a South Glendale neighborhood.

Glendale police officers have set up a perimeter in the neighborhood surrounding of Griswold and Colorado streets in search of the driver, officials said.

Officers stopped the driver this morning in connection with a minor traffic violation, police said. As they were talking to the driver, he reportedly drove off.

Moments later, he crashed his vehicle and took off running, police said.

No other information on possible injuries, or where exactly the crash occurred, was immediately available.
