Fire causes $40,000 in damage to Glendale home

A blaze on Friday caused $40,000 in damage to a Glendale home, but no one was injured, officials said.

The fire started about 8:48 p.m. in the rear of the home in the 1300 block of Moncado Drive, according Glendale Fire spokeswoman Brandy Villanueva.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in about 31 minutes, she added.

Damage to the home’s structure was estimated at $30,000 while loss of contents was $10,000, according to the Fire Department.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
