DUI crackdown on St. Patrick’s Day in Glendale

Share

Think twice about driving after a long night of throwing back pints of Guinness and Irish car bombs on St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Glendale police, along with law enforcement personnel throughout Los Angeles County, plan to step up patrols and crack down on motorists who have been driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Officers will deploy roving DUI patrols and conduct checkpoints throughout the region as part of this weekend’s crackdown, known as the Avoid the 100 task force campaign due to the number of police agencies involved statewide.

A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety funds the operations.
