Man grabs woman’s breast in Glendale in attempt to steal purse
A 31-year-old Glendale woman reported that a man grabbed her breast and tried stealing her purse Tuesday as she walked to Starbucks, police said.
The woman was using her iPhone and walking east toward the Starbucks in the 400 block of Burchett Street when she attempted to cross paths with the man, according to Glendale police.
That’s when the man reportedly grabbed her left breast and lunged to grab her purse. She quickly pulled away from the man, who then ran away west on Burchett Street.
The woman didn’t scream because she said she was scared and shocked by the assault, according to police.
She described the man as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 25 to 32 years old, Middle Eastern and with dark hair. The man was wearing blue jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt that covered his head.
Witnesses told police the man entered the passenger side of a teal Honda Passport, which drove off.
