Raffle opportunity could put you on Glendale’s Rose Parade float

Share

With $25 and some luck, you could win two seats on Glendale’s 100th Tournament of Roses Parade float.

The city is selling raffle tickets to raise money to build the float and is asking for a minimum donation of $25 for the chance to wave to thousands of spectators standing along the Pasadena parade route on New Year’s Day.

With little money to pay for floats in recent years, city officials have relied on residents and corporate sponsors to donate. Even more funding is needed this year as officials envision a striking entry to commemorate the city’s centennial anniversary of participating in the parade.

Would-be riders should keep in mind, though: Early-morning arrivals will be required on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
