Glendale-based Nestle USA recalls four types of frozen pizzas

Share

Glendale-based Nestlé USA is voluntarily recalling four types of frozen pizzas sold under the California Pizza Kitchen and DiGiorno brands, the company announced Thursday.

The pizzas are being recalled because of the chance that they may contain small fragments of clear plastic, which was reported by a small number of consumers who had purchased the CPK Crispy Thin Crust White Pizza.

An internal investigation indicated the cause was directly related to a particular order of spinach received from a supplier, which was also used on the other three varieties of pizza recalled.

They are the CPK Limited Edition Grilled Chicken with Cabernet Sauce Pizza, the DiGiorno Crispy Flatbread Tuscan Style Chicken Pizza and the DiGiorno Pizzeria! Bianca/White Pizza.

Consumers who may have purchased the recalled pizzas should contact Nestlé USA Consumer Services at 800-456-4394 or nestlepizza@casupport.com.
