Crackdown results in 22 citations in Glendale
Police issued 22 citations on Sunday to motorcyclists who were allegedly speeding and had improper equipment during a specialized enforcement operation.
Of the 22 tickets, 18 were issued to riders were cited for speeding, according to Glendale police.
Three tickets were issued for license plate and equipment violations, while one motorcyclist was arrested and cited for allegedly driving without a valid driver’s license.
Police patrolled neighborhoods citywide where motorcycle-involved crashes frequently occurred.
The police department’s latest operation was aimed at increasing safety among riders and reducing the number of motorcycle-involved injury collisions.
