Thieves caused roughly $1,650 in damage Saturday while burglarizing a flower shop in Montrose, police said.

At about 9 a.m., owners of the Glendale Flower and Gift Shop in the 3400 block of Ocean View Boulevard discovered the front glass door was smashed and $25 had been stolen from the cash register, according to Glendale police.

The cash register had been forced open and the store’s electricity turned off, police said.

No one has been arrested in connection to the burglary.
