Glendale police seek public’s help to find missing brothers

Glendale police are looking for two brothers, who ran away from home Wednesday morning due to apparent family issues.

Ryan Handlin, 12, and Marquis Handlin, 11, were last seen about 7:30 a.m. in the 4100 block of La Crescenta Avenue in the Montrose-La Crescenta area, police said.

The brothers recently moved in with their grandparents after their father died. Police said the boys’ new home “was not the ideal situation.”

Police don’t suspect foul play, but were concerned about their safety because they are young boys. Authorities are working with family and the boys’ friends to determine their whereabouts.

Ryan, who is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 90 pounds and has light brown hair, was wearing a dark shirt and jeans.

Marquis is 5 feet 1 inch tall, also 90 pounds with blond hair. He was wearing a green shirt and jeans.

Anyone with details about the boys’ whereabouts is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911.
