Police: Masked man robs San Fernando Road gas station
A partially-masked man robbed a gas station on San Fernando Road in Glendale at gunpoint Tuesday night, police said.
Officers arrived about 9:47 p.m. to Arco gas in the 5800 block of San Fernando Road after receiving calls about a man, seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and bandanna, according to Glendale police.
Officers checked the area, but didn’t see the man.
Moments later, they were hailed down by a gas station employee who said he had been robbed minutes before their arrival, police said.
The man reportedly entered the gas station, displayed a firearm, demanded money from the cash register and fled. The amount of cash stolen was not immediately known.
Witnesses described the as black, 6 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a black long-sleeved shirt or hooded sweatshirt with a zipper, dark-colored pants and black bandanna that covered his mouth.
