Six arrested during DUI patrol operation by Glendale police

Six motorists were arrested Friday night during an enforcement operation on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.

Glendale police heavily patrolled city streets between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. for a DUI saturation patrol operation during which 44 vehicles were stopped and 11 field sobriety tests were conducted, according to Glendale police.

Two motorists were arrested for alleged driver’s license violations, and two vehicles were impounded, police said.

Police also arrested six motorists on suspicion of DUI on Sept. 14 during a checkpoint at Los Feliz Road and Gardena Avenue.

During the checkpoint, 18 motorists were arrested for alleged driver’s license violations and six vehicles were towed.
