The Glendale Police Department’s traffic officers came out on top in an annual competition that tested their motorcycle training and skills.

Officer Marc Tarzia took overall first place in the Orange County Traffic Officer’s Assn. Motor Rodeo Top Gun competition held last week in Huntington Beach.

Tarzia, along with Glendale officers Ryan Gunn and Bryan Duncan, placed first in the team event portion of the competition.

The event drew 350 participants representing 20 law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Ventura counties.

“We have good riders and Glendale [Police Department] demonstrated that at the rodeo,” Police Sgt. Harout Bouzikian said.
