Small brush fire quickly extinguished near Glendale
Firefighters extinguished a small brush fire that erupted Saturday afternoon on a hillside along the eastbound Ventura (134) and northbound Glendale (2) freeways, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Ground crews responded to a quarter-acre blaze at about 2:15 p.m. and quickly put it out, Humphrey said.
The fire did not threaten any structures and no injuries were reported, he said.
Glendale firefighters also responded and provided water to a Los Angeles fire engine, Glendale Fire Department spokeswoman Brandy Villanueva said.
