Morena Baccarin, who plays the wronged wife of Damian Lewis’ double agent Nicholas Brody in “Homeland,” welcomed her first child on Tuesday in Glendale with her husband, Austin Chick.

“Julius and his mother are happy and healthy,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

The little guy weighed in at just under 8 pounds.

Julius was a breech, or exited the pelvis feet first rather than head first, during delivery but Baccarin’s doctor still delivered her son naturally at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Ronald Wu is reportedly the only doctor in the L.A. area who offers moms the controversial opportunity to give birth to a breech baby naturally in a hospital, the mag said. Babies in the breech position are usually delivered via Caesarean section.

“I’m so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu,” Baccarin told People. “Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted.”

The Brazilian actress, 34, married her director-writer husband in November 2011. They confirmed the baby news in May.

The “Firefly” and “V” alum follows in the maternal footsteps of her “Homeland” costar Claire Danes, who was pregnant with her son Cyrus during the show’s second season.

“I was a little freaked out about telling the show,” Baccarin told Us Weekly. in June. “[I had] a sense of responsibility to my job and I suddenly felt like, ‘Am I going to be disappointing everybody that I’m knocked up?’ But life goes on. Everybody was so kind to me. Claire’s laid down the groundwork, and they’re really good at hiding pregnancies now.”
