Charges filed in alleged exposure case

Prosecutors have filed charges this week against a 50-year-old man who allegedly exposed his genitals while seated in his parked car in an east Glendale neighborhood.

Ferdinand Soriano faces three misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, engaging in a lewd act in public and being under the influence of amphetamines, according to a Los Angeles County Superior Court complaint.

Soriano, a Glendale resident, was spotted about 10:20 p.m. last Wednesday after a female Glendale police officer was patrolling the area of San Camino Rafael and Emerald Isle Drive and saw his white Mercedes parked at a curb, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

It was raining, so the officer approached Soriano’s vehicle to ask if he needed help.

But as she approached, she saw Soriano seated in the driver’s seat with his genitals exposed, Lightfoot said.

Officers also determined he was under the influence of drugs, she added.

Soriano was immediately taken into custody.
