Fire officials say no injuries in 210 freeway fiery big rig crash
One of the two big rigs that crashed and caught fire on the Foothill (210) Freeway early Tuesday was leaking fuel, Glendale fire officials said.
No one was injured when the trucks collided on the westbound 210 just east of Lowell Avenue at about 12:03 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Jennifer Cassidy said. “One became fully engulfed” in flames, she said.
Crews removed the contents of the trailer to extinguish the fire, said Glendale Fire Department spokeswoman Brandy Villanueva.
Both drivers were assessed on scene by GFD paramedics and were not transported to hospitals, she said.
Glendale, Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City firefighters were investigating the scene.
