Three restaurants added to Glendale downtown

Share

Three new eateries ranging from fancy to fast casual are arriving in the heart of downtown Glendale.

On Wednesday, Bourbon Steak held a grand-opening ceremony at the Americana at Brand.

The restaurant is run by celebrity Chef Michael Mina, who also operates two more Bourbon Steak locations.

The American fare ranges from the signature 18-ounce dry rib-eye steak to a classic bacon cheeseburger with no shortage of duck-fat fries. Truffle doughnuts are just one of the dessert items on the menu to cap off dinner.

Also opening at the Americana in mid-April, Melt’s newest location will be serving many variations on the classic grilled-cheese sandwich.

The “Classic” with aged cheddar on American white bread, the “Mission” with pepper jack and jalapenos on sourdough and the “Italian Job” with fontina and provolone on garlic bread are some of the notable bites.

Slated to open soon, Blaze Pizza will be serving customers in the Glendale Galleria.

To be situated next to Panda Express, Blaze runs under a build-your-own-pizza premise and lets customers order through an interactive menu.

Then, their pies are “fast-fire’d” in less than 180 seconds.
