Share

Police arrested seven people Friday night during a patrol operation aimed at alleged drunk and drugged drivers.

Of the seven people detained, three were motorists who Glendale police said were allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Two motorists were allegedly drunk driving.

They arrested two other people on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.

Police stopped 33 vehicles and oversaw 18 field sobriety tests during the citywide operation.

At a similar DUI operation on March 17, police arrested three motorists for alleged drunk- and drugged-driving violations.

Police patrolled neighborhoods with the most frequent and highest number of DUI collisions and arrests.
