Commentary: Mailbag: Will Chess Park eatery offer a breath of fresh air?

I enjoyed your informative article on the new Chess Park Tavern, but it has left me with one question: The original Chess Park passageway was part of Glendale’s FRESH AIR non-smoking initiative. Will they now allow smoking in the outdoor patio that is replacing the walkway?

If so, it would mean that people walking from the parking structure to patronize businesses on Brand Boulevard would be exposed to toxic fumes from cigarettes or hookahs.
