A tip of the glass to Rocky Cola Café

Re: “It’s the last straw at Rocky Cola,” Dec. 28. What a shame to lose this fine establishment. I have been going there since it first opened. In those days the local (Foothills area) choices for family dining included Bob’s, Dominick’s and Conrad’s, all of which are now closed. The nostalgic atmosphere of Rocky Cola was the initial draw, but the wide variety of menu choices and great service are what always brought me back.

I really hope that another family-oriented restaurant will occupy the space. There are now many other great places to eat in the Foothills, but few offer the menu variety and ability to host large groups that Rocky Cola has always offered. I sincerely wish the owners and staff all the best.
