Local priests on list released by archdiocese

The following list is based on 122 priests’ personnel files that were released from the Los Angeles Roman Catholic Archdiocese. The clergymen were named in a 2007 settlement in which the archdiocese agreed to pay $660 million to settle hundreds of sex abuse and molestation claims.

The documents include personnel files of alleged abusers, documents detailing sex abuse allegations, their parish assignments, internal memos and psychological evaluations.

Included in the files were 29 priests who had connections to parishes in Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and the foothill region. Some of the files included sex abuse reports that allegedly occurred at local parishes. Others only detailed clergy member assignments because the archdiocese had a file, “but no relevant documents” and “no information on allegations of childhood sexual abuse.” Those files are marked by an asterisk.
