What is the cost of early retirement?

The early retirement of experienced teachers from our schools has been presented as good news.

Can someone tell us what we will replace them with? New teachers? Inexperienced teachers? Cheap teachers? Non-teacher teachers?

Has any thought been given to the effect on our children who are the students of the aforementioned teachers?

How much are we “saving” from this exercise, and at what cost?
