Broken signs at Glendale Avenue

My wife and I have been using the westbound 134 (Ventura) Freeway off-ramp at Glendale Avenue for years.

Something that we have noticed is how often we find the road signs broken and lying on the ground. We’ll see new posts put in and we laugh because we know that they will be broken again within a week.

We understand that an occasional driver will underestimate their speed or be distracted and run off the road, but we can not fathom how this is a weekly occurrence. I have even begun joking that the signs are being intentionally hit by delinquents who have a large vehicle and don’t care about a little bumper damage.

Has anyone witnessed an accident at this location? What on earth is going on?
