Policing smoking offenders

In response to Greg Christopherson’s June 15 letter, “Najarian sends city up in smoke”, I am equally as frustrated by the continued flaunting of Glendale’s smoking ordinances. While we may find it easy to blame politicians, it is really up to each of us to help make our city smoke free.

Each time you observe people smoking where it is prohibited, send an email to Armine Jimenez at ArJimenez@ci.glendale.ca.us. Include the name of the business and its address, along with the details of your observation. This will allow the city to take action and will create a database of businesses that do not enforce the smoking ordinances.
