Learning from Caneday’s golf lesson

I quite enjoyed Patrick Caneday’s column on the Chevy Chase golf course, quite happy to learn about life in a different part of Glendale than where I grew up, and that’s one of the best ways to learn about a place, through the stories people tell. I wonder if his youthful high jinks were quite as reported. Sometimes we might have a tendency to “brag” about our mischievousness as youngsters when in fact we were rather tame. But I won’t make him prove it.
