Glendale school year is starting too early

This year, Glendale Unified students returned to classrooms on Monday, Aug. 12.

Crazy.

Who wants to go back to school when the temperature tops 100 degrees? Although California schools seem much more appealing to me than my own back in Tehran 50 years ago, I still think it’s so unfair to send kids back to school in August. I’m glad I’m not a kid to say goodbye to summer fun so early.
