Letter: It’s all in good fun until there’s a leak

Re: “The Storm Watch Comedy Hour,” Read On column, March 1. I was about to agree with Ray Richmond teasing newscasters about being overly dramatic about the rain. But then I went to the garage and some rainwater had seeped under the garage door and made a bit of a mess. So I was thinking maybe when the newscasters start talking on and on about the rain, we could use it to remind ourselves to prepare. For example, before the rain ever started I could have put cloth rags along the place where the garage door meets the floor, and then the rain wouldn’t have gotten in. Once I saw the water, I did put some rags, but it would have been better to put them sooner.

But Richmond’s column was still funny.
