Glendale Fighting Club’s Baghdasaryan boxes way to 3-0

Melsik Baghdasaryan, a champion muay Thai kickboxer who even tried his hand in mixed martial arts, continued his burgeoning career in the boxing ring on Friday.

Baghdasaryan, a Glendale Fighting Club trainee, improved to 3-0 as a boxer with a majority decision over Diego Padilla in a four-round welterweight bout at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio.

The 23-year-old Armenian won the bout with two scores of 39-37 in his favor and won event at 36-36.

Padilla fell to 1-2.
