Yorba Linda 14, Crescenta Valley 4: Crescenta Valley had its season come to an end Wednesday in a CIF Southern Section Division I playoff road match.

The Falcons (10-4) took second in the Pacific League behind Arcadia.

Yorba Linda (23-2) captured the North Hills League championship.

Los Osos 15, Glendale 3: The visiting Nitros fell Wednesday in a CIF Southern Section Division II first-round playoff match.

Glendale (10-5) placed third in the Pacific League.

Los Osos (23-2) won the Baseline League title.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Moorpark College 101, Glendale Community College 62: Glendale began its season Wednesday with a nonconference road defeat.

The Vaqueros, who trailed, 41-36, at halftime, got 18 points from Joel Finney and 12 from Alexis Ramos.
