Glendale 69, Hoover 46: Glendale posted a Pacific League home win Friday.

The Nitros are 11-8, 4-2 in league.

The Tornadoes fell to 3-15, 0-6.

Crescenta Valley 67, Arcadia 51: Tyler Carlson registered 23 points and Alec Voskanian had 19 on Friday to pace visiting Crescenta Valley to a Pacific League victory.

The Falcons are 16-3, 5-1 in league.

St. Monica Academy 55, Mesrobian 36: James Grimm collected 17 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks Friday to spur host St. Monica to an International League-opening win Friday at New Revelation Baptist Church in Pasadena.

The Crusaders are 9-4.

Providence 76, Flintridge Prep 40: Flintridge Prep lost a Prep League-opening game Friday on the road.

The Rebels are 5-9.

Marymount 52, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 48: The Tologs lost their Sunshine League opener Thursday on the road.

The Golden Knights are 1-2-2 in league.

Holy Family 2, L.A. Sacred Heart Academy of Jesus 0: Brianna Cindrich had two goals and Maya Devora added two assists Friday to lift the Gaels to an Horizon League road win at Rio de L.A. Park in Los Angeles.

Glendale 3, Hoover 1: Ella Wasson finished with two goals and Yzabella Sanchez had one on Friday to spark the visiting Nitros to a Pacific League win.

Monrovia 54, Hoover 24: Visiting Hoover fell Thursday in a Rio Hondo League-opening match.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Glendale Community College 71, West L.A. College 69: The visiting Vaqueros tipped off Western State Conference South Division action Wednesday with a victory.

The Vaqueros (14-1) have won 14 straight games.

Glendale received 21 points and four assists from Tess Oakley-Stilson, 18 points from Zoe Rouse and 14 points and 10 rebounds from Jada Aidana.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

West L.A. College 78, Glendale Community College 71: Glendale dropped its Western State Conference South Division opener on the road Wednesday.

The Vaqueros (5-10) got 20 points, five assists and eight rebounds from Brooklin Sharpe and 19 points and five assists from Andreyas Boghossian.
