GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Flintridge Prep 50, Arcadia 44: Host Flintridge Prep began the CIF Southern Section Division II-AA postseason Thursday with a win.
The Rebels, who won the Prep League championship, are 23-4.
Flintridge Prep will meet Los Altos in a second-round road game Saturday at a time to be determined.
Ventura 42, Crescenta Valley 37: Crescenta Valley’s campaign ended Thursday on the road in a CIF Southern Section Division II-AA first-round contest.
Crescenta Valley, which placed third in the Pacific League, finished 21-10.
Ventura, which took first in the Pacific View League, improved to 24-6.
Jurupa Hills 60, St. Monica Academy 47: St. Monica saw its season finish Thursday with a home defeat in a CIF Southern Section Division IV-A first-round loss at New Revelation Baptist Church in Pasadena.
St. Monica, which won the International League, finished 20-4.
Jurupa Hills, which placed third in the San Andreas League, improved to 14-8.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 2, Riverside Poly 0: Second-seeded Flintridge Sacred Heart received two goals from Lauren Bolte to earn a victory Thursday in a CIF Southern Section Division II first-round match at the Glendale Sports Complex.
The Tologs, who finished tied for second in the Mission League, improved to 12-4-1 and got one assist each from Madison Leroy and Hillary Howard.
Flintridge Sacred Heart will travel to face Capistrano Valley in a second-round match at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Etiwanda 2, Crescenta Valley 0: Crescenta Valley wrapped up its season Thursday with a defeat in a CIF Southern Section Division III first-round road match.
The Falcons, who took second in the Pacific League, finished 11-3-5.
Etiwanda, which placed second in the Baseline League, is 17-3-4.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Flintridge Prep 10, Western 9: Makena Walklett scored four goals Tuesday to spark visiting Flintridge Prep to a CIF Southern Section Division VI second-round victory.
Flintridge Prep, which took second in the Prep League, improved to 15-9 and will be the designated home team against top-seeded Laguna Hills in a quarterfinal match Saturday at a time and location to be determined.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Glendale Community College 13, Santa Monica College 9 (eight innings): Visiting Glendale earned a nonconference victory Thursday.
Glendale (3-7) broke an 8-8 tie with five runs in the eighth.
The Vaqueros received three hits from Triniti Akau.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Santa Monica College 8, Glendale Community College 1: Glendale suffered a Western State Conference road defeat Thursday.
The Vaqueros fell to 2-5, 0-3 in conference.
