Sports Roundup: Glendale Community College women’s basketball still unblemished in conference
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Glendale Community College 64, Citrus College 56: Cheyenne Jankulovski had a game-high 22 points to lead the Vaqueros to a Western State Conference East win on the road Saturday.
Glendale (13-6, 3-0 in conference), which has won four straight, got 11 points and 10 rebounds from Marlene Salazar and 12 points and five boards from Sylvia Vartazarian, a Glendale High product.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Crescenta Valley 77, Arcadia 68: Arman Pezeshkian collected a game-high 39 points Friday to lift the host Falcons to a Pacific League win.
Crescenta Valley (12-8, 5-2 in league) received 17 points from Christopher Arzoumanian and nine from Harout Tahanian.
Glendora 63, Flintridge Prep 45: The Rebels fell in SoCal Shootout action at Damien High on Saturday morning.
Jonathan Le paced Flintridge Prep (8-10) with 16 points, while Brandon Gunning added 12 points and Kevin Ashworth chipped in six points.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Glendale 51, Hoover 22: The host Nitros finished in second place at the midway point of Pacific League play with a rivalry victory Friday evening.
Mary Markaryan scored a game-high 15 points for Glendale (14-7, 6-1 in league), which received 13 points from Jillian Yanai, 11 points from Anna Boyajyan and eight points from Melissa Zamora.
Junior Adrian Isajani paced Hoover (1-15, 0-7) with six points.
Louisville 47, Flintridge Sacred Heart 42: Despite a strong effort, the Tologs dropped a nonleague contest Saturday afternoon at home.
Flintridge Sacred Heart led, 17-16, at halftime. Its record dropped to 2-14.
Sacred Heart of Jesus 40, Holy Family 24: Holy Family dropped a Horizon League game at home on Thursday, falling to 2-10, 2-3 in league.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Flintridge Prep 5, Mayfield 0: The visiting Rebels rolled to a Pacific League victory Friday. Flintridge Prep improved to 13-4-2, 4-0 in league.
Alverno 7, Holy Family 0: The Gaels fell Friday on the road in Horizon League play and dropped to 3-8-1, 1-2-1 in league.

Harvard-Westlake 6, St. Francis 0: St. Francis fell Friday in a Mission League road match. The Golden Knights dropped to 9-6-1, 3-2 in league.
