GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Glendale 15, Burroughs 3: Milene Minassians finished with five goals and three assists Wednesday to lead the visiting Nitros in a Pacific League match. Kristina Terzyan and Jacqueline Jones contributed three goals apiece for Glendale (9-6, 2-0 in league). Goalkeeper Mariquita Lopez finished with 11 saves for the Nitros.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Crescenta Valley 3, Pasadena 1: Pavle Atanackovic had two goals Wednesday to lead the host Falcons in a Pacific League contest.

Jaehoon Jung scored the other goal for the Falcons, who improved to 5-2-4, 3-0-2 in league for 11 points. Crescenta Valley moved into first place in league, one point ahead of Muir.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Glendale 6, Muir 0: Alex Udarbe notched three goals and Sonnia Jaramillo added two on Wednesday to lead the Nitros to a Pacific League home win.

Ashley Aquino scored one goal for Glendale (2-3-2, 1-3-1 in league).

Crescenta Valley 2, Pasadena 0: The Falcons stayed unbeaten in the Pacific League with Wednesday’s road win.

Jacque Phinney scored off a Dani Busta cross in the 10th minute, while Sara Warden added an insurance goal in the 75th minute.

Jessi Magallon got the shutout in net and stopped two breakaways to preserve it.

L.A. Sacred Heart of Jesus 4, Holy Family 1: Valerie Russo scored the lone goal for the Gaels in a Horizon League match Wednesday at Rio de L.A. Park. Holy Family dropped to 0-5-1, 0-2 in league.

Burbank 9, Hoover 1: The visiting Tornadoes fell Wednesday in a Pacific League match. Hoover is 3-5-1, 0-3-1 in league.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 50, Pasadena 34: Catherine Davis scored 15 points and Sarah Yoon added 11 points for the Falcons in a Pacific League road win on Wednesday.

The Falcons, who improved to 9-7 and 2-2 in league, competed without injured point guard Melanie Minas and lost center Samira Seraji to an ankle injury in the first quarter.

Burbank 50, Hoover 37: The Tornadoes fell to 2-12 and 0-4 in the Pacific League with Wednesday’s loss at Burbank.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Burbank 69, Hoover 43: Aden Ziraki had 19 points in the Tornadoes’ loss, while Reni Nazari and Kevin Shim each chipped in five.

Hoover dropped to 4-11 overall and 0-4 in league.
