GIRLS’ SWIMMING

La Cañada 89, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 81: The visiting Tologs received a pair of individual victories from Meg Ryan on Monday in a nonleague meet.

Ryan won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes 23.16 seconds and the 100 backstroke (1:03.04). Ryan also teamed with Emily Balog, Katie Altmayer and Eva Dulcich to win the 200 medley relay (1:56.01).

Altmayer finished second in the 200 freestyle with a school-record mark of 1:55.63.

BOYS’ TENNIS

La Cañada 10, St. Francis 8: John Kazanjian swept his three singles sets in a nonleague match Monday at Fremont Tennis Center. Kazanjian posted 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 victories.

The Golden Knights (2-1) got a pair of wins in singles from Christopher Grosuevor (6-3, 6-2) and Kristian Esteve (6-1, 6-4).

Temple City 10, Glendale 8: Jeff Asano and Elliot Kim of Glendale swept their three doubles sets Monday in a nonleague home match. The duo won, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1.

Alex Levin and Edgar Hakobyan worked together for 6-3, 6-2 wins for the Nitros (3-1).

Mark Keppel 11, Flintridge Prep 7: The Rebels (1-2) fell in a nonleague road match Monday. Flintridge Prep’s doubles team of Kent Byun and Eric Kazangian swept their three doubles sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. Alex Wood of Flintridge Prep won, 6-1, 6-0.

BOYS’ GOLF

Crescenta Valley in West Covina Bulldog Invitational: The Falcons had two separate teams compete in the 19-team event at Sierra La Verne Country Club in La Verne.

Crescenta Valley finished eighth with a 255. Paul Park fired a 12-over-par 81 for the Falcons, who got an 85 from Adrian Chia and 87 from Aaron Peskett. The Falcons’ second team finished 12th with a 261. John Lee had an 81 for Crescenta Valley, which received an 87 from Nick Blackburn and a 93 from Daniel Mamkung.

BASEBALL

Claremont 3, Crescenta Valley 2: The Falcons dropped their season opener on Saturday night at the Glendora Tournament.

Starter Kyle Murray pitched 5 1/3 innings and Troy Mulcahey, who came on in relief, went three for three.

TRACK AND FIELD

Crescenta Valley at Santa Clarita Invitational: The Falcons had some stellar results on Saturday night in Santa Clarita.

In the boys’ high hurdles, Josh Straschewski took first in a personal-record 15.89 seconds. Another first-place finish came in the boys’ 1,600-meter relay, as Dylan Devens, Matt Williams, Cory Williams and Mike Duncan clocked 3 minutes 41.7 seconds.

On the girls’ side, the girls’ 1,600 sprint medley relay team of Katherine Smith, Noel Wong, Ali Johnson and Diane Lombardi finished first (4:31.36). Lombardi, Ali Johnson, Lindsey Heckman and Cali King also finished first in 4:23.3 in the 1,600 relay.

The team of Simon Karlsson, Cody Heydenreich, Eli McDonald and Parker Averill was second in the boys’ 4X 200 (1:36.43).

In the boys’ 1,600 sprint medley relay, the team of Devens, Mike Jaramillo, Cory Williams and Matt Williams finished third (3:54.27). The boys’ distance medley relay of Bob Anderson, Devens, Matt Williams and Mike Duncan was also third (11:23.77). James Maturan was third in the 100 (11.50). In the pole vault, Levi Walker’s mark of 10 feet was good for third.

Shannon Green tied for second in the girls’ high jump at 4 foot 8.

In the girls’ 4x 1,600, the Falcons’ team of Anneke Kakebeen, Kiernan O’Neil, Brooke Moultrie and Cali King took third (19:10.96). Kakebeen, Heather Robertson, Lombardi and King also took third in the girls’ distance medley relay (13:17.5).
