Falcons take third in league match

BOYS’ GOLF

Crescenta Valley, Hoover in Pacific League match No. 4: Adrian Chia and Aaron Peskett each carded five-over-par 76s on Thursday in a Pacific League match at De Bell Golf Club in Burbank. Alan Cho had a 78 for Hoover.

Paul Park registered an 82 for the Falcons, who qualified for the CIF Southern Section Northern Regional at Ojai’s Soule Park on May 9 after finishing third in league.

Crescenta Valley finished third with a 400 and improved to 13-10, 8-8 in league. Arcadia took first with a 377, followed by Burroughs (394). Burbank placed fourth (429).

David Moreno of Crescenta Valley had an eagle on the par-5 first hole and finished with an 83.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Orangewood Academy 3, Glendale Adventist Academy 0: The host Cougars fell Thursday, 25-12, 25-15, 25-20, in a nonleague match. Glendale Adventist dropped to 0-11.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Arcadia 15, Crescenta Valley 3: Jeremy Cho and Tim Chong won two doubles sets Wednesday for the visiting Falcons in a Pacific League match. Crescenta Valley finished 4-13, 2-10 in league.

Flintridge Prep 14, Webb 4: The Rebels ended the regular season Wednesday with a Prep League match victory at Scholl Canyon Tennis Center. Flintridge Prep went 6-8, 4-2 in league to place second.
