GIRLS’ TENNIS

Flintridge Prep 10, Marlborough 8: Andrea Kevakian swept, 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 in singles to lead the Rebels to nonleague win at Scholl Canyon Tennis Center on Friday.

Reigning All-Area Singles Player of the Year Kira Lee teamed with Roya Gheissari in doubles and posted a 6-1, 6-2, 6-0 sweep for Prep (1-1), which also got a 6-0, 6-0, 6-2 sweep from the tandem of Abby Letts and Young-In Kim.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Ventura 14, Hoover 9: The Tornadoes lost their second match of the day in the Conejo Valley Tournament on Friday after opening the afternoon with a 12-6 win over Garces Memorial.

WOMEN’S GOLF

Glendale Community College at Desert Tournament: Pattraporn Silawanna of Glendale college fired a one-under-par 71 on Friday in the first round of the Desert Tournament at Indian Canyon Golf Club in Palm Springs. The Vaqueros finished with a 301 and are in second place in the 12-team event, which concludes today, behind Palomar (299).

Hannah Lee carded a 72 for the Vaqueros, who received a 78 from Vicanda Ma and an 80 from Thanawan Sriratchaya.
