Falcons topple Indians


Crescenta Valley 221, Burroughs 238: Audrey Chung of Crescenta Valley carded a five-over-par 41 on Wednesday to earn medalist honors in a nonleague match at De Bell Golf Club. Amy Park had a 43 for the Falcons (14-9-1).


Holy Family in Horizon League meet: The Gaels finished last in the five-team event Wednesday at Griffith Park. Alejandra Hernandez was ninth for the Gaels, who got a 10th-place effort from Gaby Diaz.


Mary Star of the Sea 3, Holy Family 2: The Gaels fell, 25-16, 25-8, 22-25, 22-25, 15-7, on Tuesday in a nonleague road match.

Holy Family (4-4) received 32 assists and 20 digs from Alexa Sandoval and 26 digs from Alicia Marquez. Ashlee Sandoval collected 23 digs and seven kills from Ashlee Sandoval, 11 blocks and eight kills from Denise Patino and 10 kills and eight blocks from Rianne Sanchez.

Burbank 3, Hoover 0: The visiting Tornadoes suffered a 25-16, 25-16, 25-10 Pacific League road loss Tuesday. Hoover dropped to 1-4 and 1-3 in league.


Citrus College 2, Glendale Community College 0: Goalkeeper Priscilla Miranda finished with eight saves Tuesday for the visiting Vaqueros (1-7) in their Western State Conference opener.
