Crescenta Valley in Pacific League match: After coming up short in its first three attempts to win a Pacific League match, Crescenta Valley finally succeeded Tuesday.

Jocelyn Chia carded a two-over-par 36 to earn medalist honors at La Cañada Country Club, as Crescenta Valley finished with a 209 to best defending league champion Arcadia by 11 strokes and put the Falcons in second place in league.

“It’s something we have been striving for,” Crescenta Valley Coach Lee Pope said. “It ends a little run by Arcadia because they didn’t lose a match all last year and the beginning of this year.
