ALL-AREA SINGLES

Andrea Kevakian, frosh., Flintridge Prep

Compiled a 54-3 record in leading the Rebels to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division II playoffs, where she was 5-1.

Went 30-0 in the Prep League to win the league most valuable player award, and also won two matches to advance to the third round of the CIF Individuals Tournament.

Maral Tavitian, junior, Westridge

Performed well in the Prep League to earn a spot on the all-league singles first team. Reached the third round of CIF Individuals.

Dorothy Tang, senior, San Marino

Helped Titans reach Division II semifinals after winning the Rio Hondo League. Finished runner-up in league tournament and swept her second round opponent, 6-0, 6-0, to reach the third round of CIF Individuals.

ALL-AREA DOUBLES

Meredy Gharabeghi, soph., and Ashley Basco, junior, Burbank

Teamed up for the Pacific League Tournament, where they finished runner-up.

Qualified for CIF Individuals, where they advanced to the third round.

Crystal Yang, senior, Robin Fong, freshman, San Marino

Advanced to third round of CIF Individuals after finishing runner-up in the Rio Hondo League Tournament.

Erin Wong, senior, Erin McDonald, soph., Westridge

Were named Prep League Most Valuable Doubles Players. Also advanced to the third round of CIF Individuals.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Jerry Rivera, Westridge

Led the Tigers to first Prep League championship since 1984 and into the Division II playoffs, where they advanced to the second round with a 16-2 win over Beverly Hills.
