Flintridge Prep 1, Chadwick 0: Kaelin King scored in the 61st minute on an assist from Abby Letts to help the Rebels begin their Prep League title defense with a victory on the road on Wednesday.

Casey Cousineau had eight saves for Prep (7-1-1, 1-0 in league)

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Harvard-Westlake 64, St. Francis 37: Jake Beck scored nine points for the Golden Knights (6-8) in their Mission League opener on Wednesday night.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Citrus College 46, Glendale Community College 38: Amanda Manahan led the host Vaqueros with 13 points in a Western State Conference South Division opener on Wednesday.

Daniela Parada added 12 points for Glendale (3-12) and Alexander Mancillas scored seven points to go along with three steals.
