BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 77, Burroughs 40: Christian Misi had 22 points and eight rebounds to lead the Falcons, ranked sixth in CIF Southern Section Division IA, to a home win
Monday.

Rudy Avilla added 10 points and five rebounds, as CV improved to 14-2 and 3-0 in the Pacific League.

Pasadena 65, Glendale 53: David Yetenikyan recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds Monday for the host Nitros in a Pacific League game. Glendale, which dropped to 6-9, 1-2 in league, received 25 points from Sevan Pogosyan. Glendale held a 43-39 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Alemany 79, St. Francis 69: Emerson Castaneda finished with 29 points Monday for the visiting Golden Knights in a Mission League game. Zack Gardea and Tei Vanderford had 15 and 14 points, respectively, for St. Francis (7-10, 0-3 in league).

Flintridge Prep 61, Campbell Hall 60: Robert Cartwright connected on a three-pointer with eight seconds left to give the Rebels (6-6) the victory in a Pioneer Hoops Showdown on Saturday at Providence High. Kory Hamane had 15 points for Flintridge Prep, which received 15 rebounds from Kareem Ismail.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Arcadia 75, Hoover 43: Kariz Alberto had 20 points in the losing cause for the Tornadoes (4-7, 0-3 in Pacific League) on Monday night at home. Sam Barakat added eight for Hoover and Luna Panosian had
seven.

Mayfield 43, Flintridge Prep 19: Kinsey Thompson had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Rebels on Saturday in a Prep League contest. Maya Okamoto added five points and four steals for the Rebels (4-9, 0-2 in league).

On Friday, Flintridge Prep suffered a 48-39 league loss. Okamoto finished with a team-high 33 points Friday, including nine three-pointers.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Flintridge Sacred Heart 3, Alemany 0: Hanna Armendariz scored just 20 seconds into Monday’s Mission League game at Occidental College off an assist by Kayla Mills on a kickoff play.

Mills also added a goal off a Sarah Teegarden assist, while Jill Jacobs had Sacred Heart’s second goal off a Breeana Koemans assist. Koemans’ assist gave her 142 career points, which is No. 2 all-time in school history. The Tologs improved to 9-3-2 and 2-1-1 in
league.

Crescenta Valley 1, Burroughs 1: The Falcons, who were leading 1-0 on a Lisa Kang goal in the 28th minute, gave up a tying goal late in the second half to fall to 4-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in Pacific League play on Monday afternoon on the road.

Arcadia 7, Hoover 0: The Tornadoes fell to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Pacific League with Monday’s home loss.

BOYS’ SOCCER

St. Francis 4, Alemany 1: Matt Laterza had one goal and a pair of assists Monday to propel the visiting Golden Knights in a Mission League contest. Austin Frank, Brookes Treidler and Reed Izumi each scored for St. Francis (3-7-4, 2-1 in league).

Pasadena 3, Glendale 1: Avetis Haroutunian scored the lone goal for the host Nitros (1-2-7, 0-2-1 in league) on Monday in a Pacific League match.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Glendale Community College 61, Bakersfield College 58: Robert Henry finished with 19 points Saturday to lead the visiting Vaqueros to a Western State Conference Southern Division victory. The Vaqueros (9-9, 1-1 in the division) got 11 points apiece from Mike Johnson and Nate Bryant, eight rebounds from Soreen Derbaghosian and six assists from Nick Rhodes.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Bakersfield College 76, Glendale Community College 58: The Vaqueros closed out the week Saturday with a Western State Conference Southern Division loss. Glendale fell to 3-13, 0-2 in the division.
