Oakwood 5, Glendale Adventist Academy 0: The host Cougars fell Wednesday in a Liberty League match at the Glendale Sports Complex. Glendale Adventist dropped to 2-8, 2-4 in league.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Glendale 70, Burbank 66: The Nitros improved to 7-9, 2-2 in Pacific League, with Wednesday’s victory over the Bulldogs. Sevan Pogosyan scored a team-high 20 points and David Yetenikyan and Arada Zakarian added 16 and 14 points, respectively.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Burbank 51, Glendale 37: Tara Abdul Ahad led the Nitros with 10 points in a Pacific League road loss on Wednesday. Erlin Keshishzadeh had nine points for Glendale (6-9, 0-4).
Crescenta Valley 65, Hoover 28: Ella Stepanian scored 19 points to lead the way for the Falcons in a Pacific League home victory on Wednesday. Crescenta Valley (10-6, 2-2) also got 11 points apiece from Lexi Mirzaian and Catherine Davis, while Hoover (4-8, 0-4) got 18 points from Kariz Alberto.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Mayfield 17, Flintridge Prep 4: Suzanna Tan and Kate Woolley were responsible for all of Prep’s goals, as both had two each in Wednesday’s Prep League loss at home. The result drops the Rebels to 3-2, 1-2 in league.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
West LA College 63, GCC 50: Jenee Stevenson had 14 rebounds and seven points for the host Vaqueros in a Western State Conference Southern Division contest Wednesday. Michelle Eclar added 10 points and eight steals for Glendale, which dropped to 3-14 and 0-3 in the division.
