The following are updates on area athletes at the collegiate level.

Coltrane Powdrill (Crescenta Valley High, 2010) sophomore guard, Moorpark College men’s basketball: The former two-time All-Area Player of the Year scored 23 points on Wednesday to lead the Raiders to a 75-66 Western State Conference win over Cuesta at home.

Heading into that contest, Powdrill was third in the conference in scoring with 18.5 points per game, according to the conference’s website. He is also averaging 4.5 rebounds per game for the Raiders (5-12, 1-1 in conference), who took on L.A. Pierce on Saturday night.

Stella Ghazarian (Glendale High, 2011) freshman guard, Pasadena City College women’s basketball: The former Nitro has been on a scoring tear for the Lancers lately, averaging 15.6 points over her last five games.

Ghazarian played a season-high 30 minutes and scored 17 points on five-of-eight three-point shooting in Friday’s South Coast Conference loss to state No. 6-ranked East L.A. that dropped PCC to 9-10 and 3-4 in conference. Ghazarian is averaging 13 points per game on the season and has made 55 three-pointers.

Nick Dragovich (Crescenta Valley High, 2010) sophomore forward, Chapman University men’s basketball: Although yet to crack the starting lineup in 15 games played as a sophomore, Dragovich has been one of the Panthers’ most valuable contributors off the bench.

The steady sixth man averaged 7.2 points and points and 2.5 rebounds per game during Chapman’s recent six-game win streak that spanned Dec. 10, 2011 to Jan. 4, including a career-high 21 points scored on Dec. 31 in a 79-65 home win over Hamline.

Dragovich, who was averaging 6.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on the season going into Saturday night’s game at Pacifica, scored eight points in his most recent game, a 66-64 loss to West Coast Baptist that snapped the streak.
