BOYS’ SOCCER

Crescenta Valley 4, Arcadia 0: The Falcons ended the regular season 16-0-6 overall and 12-0-2 in the Pacific League in Thursday’s league finale.

Pavle Atanackovic scored two goals for Crescenta Valley and Alex Berger added two assists and a goal. Tony Royer notched an assist from a corner kick that was knocked in by a Russell Carpenter header. Falcons goalkeeper Nick Ruiz had 10 saves.

“To win league is great. To be able to tie the first two games and then put together a run like we did is spectacular,” first-year Falcons Coach Grant Clark said. “We have a lot of respect for the other teams in our league and we also realize the quality of players we have this year.

“This is what we set out to do — win league in convincing fashion and be healthy going into the playoffs.

Glendale 3, Hoover 1: Albert Chamagua, Artur Nazarian and Allen Grakasian each scored a goal Thursday for the host Nitros in a Pacific League finale. Glendale finishes the year at 5-10-5 and 2-7-5 in league, while Hoover (3-9-5, 2-7-5), which got its goal on a penalty shot by Argin Haghoubian, winds up 3-9-5, 2-7-5.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Glendale 1, Hoover 1: The Nitros and Tornadoes closed out their respective seasons Thursday in a Pacific League match at Hoover.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

Glendale Community College 8, L.A. Harbor 7: Matt McCallister (two for three) homered and drove in four runs and Chris Stroh went two for four with three runs and two stolen bases to help the Vaqueros improve to 2-2 in a nonconference match on Thursday.

MEN’S TENNIS

Saddleback College 5, Glendale Community College 4: Trevor Campbell won two sets in singles, 7-6, 7-5, and teamed with Grayson Frazier for an 8-3 doubles win in a nonconference match on Thursday.

Mario Ruiz also won a pair of singles sets, 7-6, 6-2, for Glendale (1-1), which also got an 8-6 doubles win from Rick Ivynianand Eric Khanlarian.
