Jackson hired as assistant coach

Former Glendale Community College quarterback Hue Jackson was named an assistant coach with the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday. Jackson served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, who finished 8-8 and in second place in the American Football Conference’s West Division. Jackson, who played at Glendale college from 1983-84, was fired by the Raiders in early January.

Jackson will begin his second coaching stint with the Bengals. He was on their coaching staff from 2004-06.
