Rebels just fall to Minutemen

BOYS’ GOLF

Maranatha 223, Flintridge Prep 223: Jack Bouchard of Flintridge Prep carded a three-over-par 38 on Wednesday in a nonleague match at Altadena Golf Course. Maranatha took the event as its sixth scorer shot two strokes lower. Josh Kim added a 43 for the Rebels (3-4).

SOFTBALL

Marlborough 14, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 7: Lauren Torres hit a solo home run for the visiting Tologs (4-3) in a nonleague contest Wednesday.

Sacred Heart plays again Tuesday when it travels to take on Mission League-opponent Louisville at 3 p.m.

Westridge 8, Flintridge Prep 7: Chelsea Johnson and Jenna Galper each had a pair of hits Wednesday for the host Rebels in a Prep League game. Galper drove in three runs and Johnson scored two runs. Flintridge Prep dropped to 0-9, 0-2 in league.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

Arcadia 128, Hoover 34: The host Tornadoes received a pair of first-place finishes Wednesday in their Pacific League-opening dual meet. Jason Barbar won the 500-yard freestyle in 5 minutes 19 seconds and Hakop Kaplanyan took the 50 in 22.9.

GIRLS’ SWIMMING

Arcadia 133, Hoover 34: Lianna Khachikyan of host Hoover took first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes 17 seconds on Wednesday in a Pacific League-opening dual meet.

Hoover will compete again Tuesday when it travels to Crescenta Valley at 3 p.m. to take on its Pacific League opponent Falcons.
