All-CIF Southern Section Division III-A second-team pick drew brunt of defensive attention, but still averaged 19.1 points a game and 16.5 in ultra-competitive Mission League with lethal jump shot.

Darrell Dansby, Senior, Forward, La Cañada

Was never tallest player on floor at 6-foot-1, but was first to come up with a block. Emerged as Spartans' No. 1 scorer with team-high 11 points and six rebounds a game and defender with 67 blocks — second best mark in a season for La Cañada.

Vince De Guzman, Senior, Guard, Renaissance Academy

All-CIF Southern Section Division VI Player of the Year averaged 15.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game for Division VI champion Wildcats that came one point short of Division V State Championship game.

Jordan Hill, Senior, Forward, La Salle

All-Dey Rey League first-teamer averaged 14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals a game for a Lancers squad that advanced to the postseason on an at-large berth.

Jelani Mitchell, Junior, Guard, Muir

Led Mustangs to best start in the area with a 24-2 record — before having a to forfeit the majority of their wins — with 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game. Earned Pacific League co-MVP honors in process.
