Sports Roundup: Jocelyn Chia, Audrey Chung to compete in CIF Southern Section Individual Regional

Duo to compete in CIF Individual

Crescenta Valley High girls’ golfers Jocelyn Chia and Audrey Chung will take part in the CIF Southern Section Individual Regional, which will begin at 8 a.m. today at River Ridge Golf Course’s Vineyard Course in Oxnard.

Chia and Chung were among the top seven finishers from the Pacific League to advance. Chia won her second consecutive league crown.

The top 45 plus ties from today’s round will move on to the Individual Golf Championships, which will start at 9 a.m. Nov. 1 at Western Hills Golf & Country Club in Chino Hills.

Rebels win prep league match

John Treinen and Ethan Vandeventer each scored four goals apiece Wednesday to lead the host Rebels to an 18-2 Prep League win against La Salle. Diego Delgado scored three goals for Flintridge Prep, which improved to 14-8, 5-3 in league.
