Crescenta Valley soccer’s league unbeaten streak ends

BOYS’ SOCCER

Arcadia 1, Crescenta Valley 0: Crescenta Valley saw its 36-match unbeaten streak come to an end Friday on the road. Crescenta Valley, which has won three straight league championships, surrendered a goal in the 64th minute and saw its unbeaten streak end at 28-0-8. Crescenta Valley last lost a league match on Feb. 5 against Glendale.

St. Francis 4, Chaminade 1: Frankie Veiga notched two goals Friday to lead the visiting Golden Knights to a Mission League win. St. Francis (5-6-5, 3-2-1 in league) got one goal each from Brookes Treidler and Griffin O’Brien to win its third straight league contest.

Flintridge Prep 7, Rio Hondo Prep 0: Cole Rademacher and Daniel Enzminger registered a pair of goals each Friday for the host Rebels in a Prep League match. Flintridge Prep improved to 6-8-2, 2-1-1 in league.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Flintridge Prep 74, Chadwick 58: Robert Cartwright collected 16 points, six steals and five assists Friday to lead the visiting Rebels in a Prep League contest. Flintridge Prep (11-5, 4-0 in league) got 13 points from Jedrick Eugenio and 12 from Tyler Weakland.

Chaminade 63, St. Francis 42: Markar Agakanian had 12 points Friday for the visiting Golden Knights in a Mission League game. Kyle Leufroy added 10 points for St. Francis (11-9, 1-5 in league).

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Glendale 1, Hoover 0: The visiting Nitros picked up a Pacific League victory Friday at Toll Middle School.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Flintridge Prep 45, Chadwick 30: Maya Okamoto finished with a team-high 14 points to spark the visiting Rebels in a Prep League game. Kinsey Thompson had eight points for Flintridge Prep (12-3, 4-0 in league).

Arcadia 54, Crescenta Valley 24: Alisa Shinn had eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks Friday for the visiting Falcons in a Pacific League contest. Crescenta Valley dropped to 8-12, 3-4 in league.
